Feering - Your Village, Your Say

Community Led Plan

Thank you again for those who attended the community workshop in January and following a busy few months we wanted to give you an update on the project so far. A number of volunteers from the village came forward to participate in this project.  We are always looking for more eager volunteers so please contact the group via Jane Coleman, Feering Parish Clerk on 01376 - 572882, if you would like to get in touch or help in any way.

To date two working groups have been formed as part of the Community Led Plan Project, namely ‘The Factual Group’ and ‘The Community Feedback Group,’ both of which meet every 4-6 weeks.  These groups report to a Steering Group whose purpose is to manage the process, guide and spearhead the completion of the Community Led Plan.  We have been extremely fortunate to have the continued assistance and expertise of Rural Community of Essex (RCCE) to guide us through this arduous and complicated task.  The purpose of the Factual Group is to collect the factual information about Feering, supporting The Community Feedback Group with creating a comprehensive questionnaire to ascertain your views and opinions about local services, facilities and how you would like to see our village develop for the future from all aspects of life. 

Please look out for a questionnaire which will be distributed by February 2012 to each and every household in Feering (we hope this will also be available electronically).  It is important that we hear your views on the future of Feering. Your input is vital to make this project viable and meaningful.   Early in 2012 we will also be holding another community event at the Feering Community Centre to present the findings of the Community Led Plan Project so far.  This will also include the findings from recent workshops held at Feering Primary School and at the May Fayre earlier this year and to give you an opportunity to discuss the questionnaire and your thoughts directly with the group and the RCCE.  Please watch out for further details about this event and the release date of the questionnaire.
